SPACE CREW: NBC announces today the cast for Earth 2, the sci-fi drama that will air Sunday nights before seaQuest DSV. The less-than-star-studded team for the show: Antonio Sabato Jr. (General Hospital), Debrah Farentino (Equal Justice), Clancy Brown (NBC miniseries Love, Lies and Murder), Jessica Steen (Homefront), John Gegenhuber (Rookie of the Year), Rebecca Gayheart (Loving) and Sullivan Walker (Where I Live).
The show follows a group of space travelers who crash-land on a wilderness planet. Co-executive producer Michael Duggan says he's also negotiating for a big name to guest star in the opening episodes. Taping starts today in Santa Fe, N.M., for the two-hour premiere movie, which is scheduled for late October or early November.
